A dietician or nutritionist is someone who works with patients to establish a healthy diet and eating lifestyle. To become a dietician one must generally complete a bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition, and then pass state licensing requirements. A dietician can also become a registered dietician through the Commission on the Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. This path involves completing accredited programming, and internship, and passing an exam.
