Academy of Healing Arts

It is the goal of The Academy of Healing Arts to insure that you have all the skills and tools necessary for you to succeed. From shiny equipment and new campus to financial aid and the expansive career placement services, The Academy of Healing Arts is here to provide assistance with anything you want.

Financial Aid

The financial aid counselors will help you get all of the financial assistance possible. The counselors will explain all options available to you, including grants, scholarships, and loans, and help you through the application process.

Placement Services

All graduates will benefit from The Acadamy's Job Placement Services. At the Career Center, you will find placement services available to you. Whenever you need career placement assistance or information, there are always full-time personnel available at The Career Center to assist you.

Tutoring Services

A fundamental responsibility of all of the instructors and staff is to provide the students with any tutoring they may need. All of the tutoring resources are available to the students at no charge. At the Learning Resource Center, the Student Services Coordinator is ready at any time to help you with your tutoring requests.

GED

If you have not received your High School diploma, the Academy is the only school in the area that has a fully staffed program specifically aimed at assisting you in obtaining your GED. The college will provide tutoring, pre-testing and whatever else is needed so you can pass your exam without being charged. In a group and individual settings, classes are available daily.

Facilities

The Academy has recently constructed a new campus in the middle of Las Vegas's medical district, located across the street from the University Medical Center hospital facilities. New classrooms, computer labs, a career and learning resource center, massage clinic, laboratory and training equipment are all part of this new facility.

Learning Resource Center

You will find a plethora of research and study tools at your disposal at The Academy of Healing Arts Learning Resource Center. The Academy offer a complete selection of reference materials, including books, periodicals, professional journals, videos, teaching skeletons, and also, charts, graphs and transparencies. Personal computers are available at the center, and have been designated specifically for student use.

Massage Therapy Schools

It is the Academy of Healing Arts intent to teach our students, what they need to know to become successful in the medical industry. We are concerned about the well-being and success of our community, as we are completely focused on the Las Vegas area. Massage Therapy program

The Massage Therapy program we provide will give you the skills you need to work in multiple settings of massage therapy. You can select from jobs in a wide variety of practices including under the supervision of a doctor, in a sports medicine clinic, at a health spa, in a salon, at an athletic club, or at a hotel.

Massage Therapists implement a variety of different natural and holistic techniques on an individual basis with clients. The satisfaction of directly helping clients and the many prospects for career growth makes this a valuable career with incentives.

There is both theoretical and hands-on practical training in our program. The training combination enhances rapid understanding of massage therapy. You can also work in the Academy's student clinic. It is a working clinic with patients of varying needs. This will give you experience, which will both build your career and enhance your education.

The diploma program lasts for only seven months, and offers classes that meet in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Student services are available for all students and generous financial aid packages are offered for those that qualify.

Medical Assistant Program

This course, which includes phlebotomy and EKG, instructs you to perform tasks with doctors in treating and examining patients. You will also be taught how to do necessary actions required in medical office settings.

All over the country, not just Las Vegas, medical assistants are in high demand. They keep the teams together. The Medical Assistants have a key role in every medical office function when they are interacting either with patients or the staff.

Our training program mixes traditional classroom learning and practical clinical laboratory training. This combination will help you quickly understand the unique obligations of this worthwhile career. Besides attending the training in the classroom and in the lab, the student has to take part in the Medical Assistant Externship program. This provides you with hands-on training that will not just improve your education but improve your career.

Students may attend morning, afternoon, or evening classes over a 7 month period. Many students are qualified to receive financial aid packages.

Medical Administrative Assistant

Through the Medical Administrative Assistant program, the student is trained to deal with electronic information in a medical office and help others with new technologies. Grads of this course can perform with multiple skills as healthcare practitioners knowledgeable in insurance coding, billing, transcription, and office administration.

Medical Administrative Assistant graduates have their choice of a multitude of career options in the medical field from which to pick. Medical Front Office Professionals, Insurance Supervisors, Medical Insurance Clerks, Business Office Managers, or Medical Billing/Transcription Clerks are some of the professions that graduates can pursue.

As a student, you will be able to learn in the class and in the lab through our program. You'll be able to quickly grasp the specialized requirements of medical information management with this mix. You will also take part in relevant externship programs. Participating in an externship program will provide you with a true exposure that will further your education and become a foundation for your career.

Our course of study lasts just 7 months with courses held mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Our complete assortment of student services is offered for all registered undergraduates, along with abundant financial aid packages for qualifying students.
