Allied College specifically caters to those students who are seeking an associate degree focused in one area of expertise.

A Quarter of a Century of Superior Career Instruction
The original Allied College campus, Allied College - North in St. Louis Missouri, inaugurated in 1981. In 1992, eleven years later, in Fenton, Missouri the second Allied College (South) was opened.
High-Tech Institute owns and manages both Allied Colleges. Including the two Allied schools, HTI also owns 22 other campuses in 15 different states in the United States.
A Unique Approach to Education

We teach you a variety of therapeutic techniques to be used to message soft tissues that have been affected by stress, illness and injury. Your clients are benefited by your professional skills through stress reduction, energy renewal, flexibility increment, improvement in posture and more.
You will be prepared to open and manage your own massage therapy business with the professional skills learned in this program.

Supervised Clinic
You will have the opportunity to participate in a six-week supervised clinic once you finish the coursework. You will practice what you learned during the classroom segment of the schoolwork during this time.
This supervised clinic, which is unpaid, requires a full 120 hours of work.

Medical Assistant
The MA course of study at Allied College - North readies you for AAS Degree much quicker than you thought possible.
What type of work will you be capable of performing?
The training prepares the student to act as an important person in the medical office. You'll be responsible for updating patient records, filling out reports, doing lab tests, diagnosing and handling treatment plans. Another responsibility is to ensure that all required data is electronically accessible and review records for completeness.
You may also be responsible for recording medical histories and vital signs, explaining treatments to the patient, preparing patients for exams, and being a physician's assistant.
What can you expect from our Medical Assistant curriculum?

Procedures for the Classroom
Every class is a standalone area of study and there are no prerequisite requirements. You can start the program at the commencement of any course and continue till you successfully complete all the courses.
Externship
Upon completion of the curriculum, you get the chance to be part of a 7-week extern position at a healthcare facility supervised by a preceptor/office staff. In this timeframe, you will rehearse the skills acquired in the classroom.
You will need to complete 256 hours, with an average of 5 eight-hour days per week for your externship.
Pharmacy Technician - An Exciting New Career
The new career opportunities through the Pharmacy Technician Program at Allied College - North will provide you with an Associate of Applied Science Degree sooner than you might expect.
What Careers Will I Be Qualified For?
You will assist in preparing prescription medication to be taken by patients while working as a licensed pharmacist's assistant. We will train you to measure and prepare the medicine. Pricing and filling prescriptions is the job of a technician, whose work is then checked by a pharmacist before the patient receives it. You might also be responsible for maintaining patient information, preparing insurance forms and taking inventory of the medications.
What can you get out of our Pharmacy Technician program?

Classroom Procedures
Each course is not dependent upon another prerequisite training and is a stand alone class. There are no prerequisites, so you can start with any course, and continue on until you have completed the program requirements. After you have successfully completed your coursework, there is the option to partake in a four-week externship under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in a clinical setting. This is when you will apply the skills you learned in class in a real-life setting. To help develop these skills, the unpaid externship is 160 hours, consisting of eight hours a day, five days a week for four weeks.
Medical Billing & Coding Program Details
The Medical Billing & Coding program at Allied College - North will get you ready for an Associate of Applied Science Degree in less time than you probably imagine.
What Sort of Jobs Do We Prepare You For?
After you graduate, you will able to keep of medical records, put together documents regarding a patient's history, including pre- and post-treatment conditions and results of laboratory tests and x-rays and doctor's diagnoses. It is your job to determine whether the data is complete and to make sure all of the important information has been inserted into the system.

Classroom Procedures
Each Course is considered as a separate unit of study that depends upon prerequisite training in the area of study. It is permissible for a student to embark on the program at the commencement of any particular course and then continue sequentially until they have completed each course on offer.
Externship
You will get to work at a medical office or hospital for four weeks after finishing your coursework. Skills developed during the classroom portion of the course will be put into practice during this time.
Your unpaid externship will include 160 total hours, separated into eight hour days, five days a week.
Dental Assistant
Dental Assistants are highly trained individuals who pay attention to even the smallest details. Their desire to serve in health care is so intense that they want to help other people even voluntarily.
The Dental Assistant is usually a clean, tidy organized individual who enjoys working with their hands.
Dental Assistants perform a number of duties including lab work and patient care. They are required to make patients at ease and comfortable, getting them ready for treatment by the dentist, and keeping track of dental records. Typical responsibilities of the dental assistant in an exam include providing the dentist with instruments and materials, and keeping a patient's mouth clean through suction and other dentistry tools.
Their work involves sterilizing the instruments and equipment, preparing the tray setup for dental procedures, and instructing the patients on post operative and general oral health. Some dental students also get the materials for making impressions and restorations ready and expose radiographs and process dental x-ray film.
From placing rubber dams on the teeth to isolate them for individual treatment, to removing sutures, applying anesthetics to gums or cavity-preventive agents to teeth, along with removing excess cement used in the filling process are some of the procedures dental assistants may perform.
Assistants with lab duties will make casts of teeth and mouths, clean and polish appliances and also make temporary crowns. Dental Assistants may also be required to perform office duties such as: confirm appointments, receive patients, keep records, send/receive payments and order supplies.
