MS in Health Services Management Online Program

Program Overview

The Master of Science in Health Services Management (HSM) program offers a comprehensive course of graduate study to prepare health service providers and managers for the challenges of contemporary healthcare. This program promotes the attainment of sustainable research methods and skills while recognizing the value of applied research in solving problems of today's health systems. The program structure is so designed as to provide students with added knowledge of contemporary business practices, modern healthcare systems and organization, policy development and planning techniques, management and leadership strategies, health behaviors, financial management, and analytical research methods. This course work provides individuals with the knowledge and skills to fully use proven healthcare management methods, while also developing new theories and methods relevant to current healthcare management techniques.

Graduation Requirements

• On a scale of 4.0 with a minimum grade point average of 3.2, successful completion of all the academic requirements that is set forth by the school and the HSM Department.
• Integrated field work experience is included in the forty five credits which are required for this degree.
• A fulfilled petition to graduate
• It is the responsibility of the program committee on academic progress to make the final recommendations regarding award of the degree. The majority of students can finish the program in less than two years.
