Medical Assistant Schools
If working with patients and doctors is appealing to you, then a career as a medical assistant might be ideal.
The Central Coast College Medical Assisting program is made to give you the comprehensive medical assisting skills, including rigorous training in four different environments: Administration - Study how to maintain medical records, insurance coding, legal requirements of confidentiality, plus other front office skills.
Clinical:
Interact with patients and do tasks like taking vital signs and getting the person ready for treatment.
Laboratory work:
Learn how to perform a variety of laboratory tests, draw blood, and do injections.
Externship:
Take on an externship of 160 hours, working in a medical office or clinic under supervision by a doctor. It will provide you the chance to put in practice all your abilities and become more confident in your skills as a medical professional
A Medical Administrative Assistant profession is ideal if you're interesting in a front desk job in a medical office or administrative job in a surgical facility.
This course is created to furnish you with the specific abilities required to perform tasks in medical offices, among them: terminology, office methods, computers, anatomy and physiology. Once you graduate, you'll be eligible for a position in an office, clinic or administrative hospital setting.

Pharmacy Technician
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the training necessary to work side-by-side with pharmacists to dispense medication and health care products to patients. Whether you work in a local pharmacy or a huge drug company, your skills are an important asset to the company.
The State of California registers Pharmacy Technicians who are then qualified to work in hospital pharmacies or in retail drug stores. The program is designed to ease the transition from school to the real world.
After you complete your classroom training, you will be given a 120 hour externship to help you gain the skills and knowledge needed to perform your duties in a real world work environment.
Medical Biller and Coder
