Dental Technician
Your work will consist in using different dental appliances, materials and sophisticated equipment to assist the dentist labor. That is why you have to get a good training. To be a successful dental technician you should demonstrate your ability to do precision work with your hands, to work independently and attention to detail and aesthetics.
There are 2-year dental lab technology programs leading to an associate degree or certificate; and a 4-year bachelor programs are also available.
There is no license required for dental lab technicians, but optional certification is available. Certification recognizes a dental lab technician's knowledge and technical skills.
