Dental Assisting: A fulfilling profession for a rewarding future

Dental Assistants carry out various clerical tasks in addition to their clinical duties assisting dentists with patients. Charting, instrumentation and lab procedures are also part of their duties. Careers as a dental assistant, front office receptionist, or dental office manager are also possibilities for graduates of Apollo College's comprehensive program. There is always a need for trained dental professionals which provides great opportunities for graduates looking for a job.

Students who complete our program will have a comprehensive education in the various job requirements of Dental Assistants, including clinical, laboratory and administrative training. Procedures involved with chair-side assistance to dentists is taught to students, as well as oral hygiene and care, office techniques and other skills. Students begin their fulfilling, rewarding profession by working in an externship at a dentist's office or other clinical facility once they finish all of their training.
