Donna Haraway
Donna Haraway was born on September 1944 in Denver, Colorado. Repeatedly called a "genuine thinker", Haraway is an internationally recognized feminist theorist and philosopher of technology and science. Currently she is a professor and chair of the History of Consciousness Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She has taught Women’s Studies and General Studies at the University of Hawaii and John Hopkins University. A renowned author and speaker, Haraway has lectured about the feminist theory and techno-science at many universities. Haraway examines the relationships between science, technology, and "socialist-feminism" using the cyborg as a metaphor.
