A Guide to Natural Poisoning
Nursing schools don't often teach about poisonous plants and animals, but perhaps they should. There are actually a number of different plants and animals that are toxic to humans and these go beyond the basic snakes. There are types of snails that are poisonous to humans and of course the jellyfish, which stings the person's skin and leaves venom in the body.
In terms of plants humans should be wary of things like apple seeds, which can cause the person to feel sick and in a high enough dose, even cause death. The pits and leaves of plums, peaches and cherries are also poisonous to humans. Other poisonous plants include the leaves of the rhubarb, wolfsbane, nightshade, bleeding heart and black locust.
