What are Traumatic Events?

Traumatic resources can depend on many factors, particularly the person they happen to. A traumatic event can be soldiers who battled in a war, survivors of a train crash or building collapse, a physical or sexual assault, or childhood abuse and/or neglect. Traumatic events also include events such as losing ones job, moving across the country, losing a spouse or a loved one, even the death of a beloved pet. Depending on the person, an event may be truly traumatic, or basically tolerable. While some people do not need help, others cannot function properly in everyday life.
