Medical administration degrees in California seek students who are organized leaders by nature and desire a career as a medical administrator in the healthcare field. Most programs are offered at the bachelor degree level. The bachelor’s degree in medical administration takes four years to complete on average. Internships at area hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, university healthcare systems, or children’s centers are available and offered during the senior year of the student. Some students who complete the bachelor’s degree program continue their education to obtain a master’s degree. After graduation, students have the option of going to work as an education administrator, medical records manager or other hospital administrative positions.
