Alberta Medical Technician Schools.
Medical technician schools in Alberta typically offer a one or two year program in the field that allows graduates of the program to become eligible for entry level employment as an EMT or emergency medical technician. The two year program is one of the more popular medical technician programs and allows the student to receive an associate’s degree upon graduation. The job forecast for EMTs is favorable due in part to the increasing aging community in the United States. Due to the increased number of aged people, emergency calls have also increased. EMTs are the first responders to these calls that require emergency medical care.
