Anesthesiology Training
As an anesthesiologist, you'll work with both patients and other medical professionals. In many situations, you'll collaborate with physicians and surgeons to help relieve the pain of surgical patients. This could involve assessing a patient before surgery and monitoring their vital statistics, including heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing, during the medical procedure. You may also work in a maternity ward to relieve women's pain during labor and delivery, or in a specialty practice to help patients suffering from chronic ailments.
