EMT Emergency Medical Technician
The EMT-Intermediate program provides students with the education they need to become certified as a Georgia Emergency Medical Technician.
The course covers the following topics:
- Preparation and Introduction to Emergency Medical Care
- Patient Assessment and Basic Life Support
- Medical Behavioral emergencies
- obstetrics
- gynecology
- trauma, (infants and children,)
- and EMS operations
And is founded on the guidelines for EMT intermediate course curriculum for the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT.)
Graduates will receive a diploma and are eligible to to sit for the National Registry test. Individuals are then able to apply for their Georgia EMT numbers, upon a successful passing of the National Registry Exam. A student becomes a certified Georgia EMT once he or she receives his or her numbers.
Pharmacy Technician program
The aim of the Pharmacy Technician program is to provide high quality training and make students employment ready to be employed in establishments such as a hospital pharmacy, a community pharmacy, or a large pharmacy chain store. This course has been approved by various associations like the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), and the American Pharmaceutical Association (APA).

Students can appear for National Certified Pharmacy Technician exams that are conducted by National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), once they earn a Pharmacy Technician Diploma from Medix School.
Medical Billing and Coding Certificates
The Medical Billing and Coding Program is designed to prepare our students for entry-level employment in the field of data collection, insurance claim completion and submission, in updating of rules and regulations around insurance, to follow up on claims submission, diagnostic and procedural coding and more.
Hands-on exercises, lectures, demonstrations, and group/individual projects in the program train the students for Medical Billing and Coding. Students learn about the daily workings of a medical office, billing and implementing procedures, basic bookkeeping, diagnostic codes, medical terminology, and legal aspects related to medical offices.
With all this skill and enhancement in their knowledge, the students who really want to do it, after the requisite coursework completion, can develop as a Medical Billing and Coding worker with externships in clinics, physicians' offices, hospitals, laboratories or any other place which can employ a Medical Billing and Coding worker.

Preliminary examination procedures, helping at chair side using fourhanded dentistry, charting, fixing appointments, keeping patient records, and sterilizing instruments are included in these areas of studies.
