Most natural medicine programs are six months long, are fast paced, and lead to entry level employment as a natural medicine specialist. Various courses taken during the six month program include medicinal herb identification, homeopathy, nutrition, pharmacology, and some anatomy and physiology courses. Other programs offered by schools in British Columbia include the two year regimen that leads to an associate’s degree. The two-year program is for students who want to increase their education further than the six month program, and become more learned in the field of natural medicine.
