Master of Arts in Holistic Wellness

The Master of Arts in Holistic Wellness program focuses on wellness at all levels - body, mind, and spirit. Holistic human development as well as anatomy and physiology are required. The curriculum includes two courses on nutrition that will enable you to learn about the relationships between one's health and food intake as well as between nutrition and healing of the body and mind. Also taught are the benefits to health of different energy techniques, spiritualty and belief.

Students create a plan for holistic wellness that involves concepts from their courses as well as ideas drawn from independent research for the Master of Arts program which includes two electives and, instead of a thesis, ends with a project demonstrating mastery. The study of Wellness is one of the most useful helping professions.

Holistic Care for Companion Animals

Since many people consider their pets as members of their family, the advances made with natural approaches for ensuring good health is carrying over to the animal kingdom, where studies need to be conducted to see if they are just as effective. Though all the various species, like humans, respond differenty to particular modalities, there are many commonalities, as well.

Those who care for the dogs and cats within their own homes may be eligible for a certificable program known as Holistic Care for Companion Animals. Starting with basic care and feeding, and also basic information about natural health, our program is well rounded and introduces students to many facets of holistic modalities used in animal care.
