Massage Therapy Schools in Minnesota
Massage therapy schools in Minnesota offer one and two year training opportunities for students that lead to either a certificate in massage or an associate’s degree in massage therapy. The program is normally about 500 hours of classroom work that can be completed in one year but due to the associate’s degree requirements takes students an additional year to complete. Depending on which program the student chooses will the length be determined. Core classes are required aside from the program requirements. Courses required of the massage therapy major include the introduction to massage, anatomy and physiology, athletic injuries, professional practices in massage, Swedish massage, Shiatsu, and kinesiology.
