Massage Therapy Schools in North Carolina

Massage therapy schools in North Carolina require students complete a two year degree program in order to receive an associate’s degree in massage and go to work as a massage therapist. A large number of students learn massage and work for a short time or part time before returning to school to complete a nursing degree or physical therapy degree. Massage courses required of the major include kinesiology, anatomy and physiology, some beginning biology classes, intro to massage, Swedish massage, and Shiatsu. There are a number of other courses that may also be required of the massage therapy program depending on the North Carolina school selected.
