Massage therapy schools in Oklahoma provide training for students by covering science and massage courses that allow them to achieve a two-year associate’s degree in massage therapy. Courses allow students to learn the history of massage as well as the ethics that are required. Students are required to learn both CPR and first aid, receiving a certification in both. Students are also required to learn how to assess patients and select the best style of massage treatment for the individual. Most Oklahoma schools offer an on-campus clinic that allows students to clock hours working in the field. Hands-on training is a major part of the program.
