Respiratory Therapy

According to the US Department of Labor, 8 out of the 20 fastest growing occupations are in health care. Program Objective

You must be licensed by the Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners to get a job as a respiratory therapist in the State of Arizona.This program will prepare you for taking this exam which readies you for the licensure.

After graduation, you can get a job performing the following under the supervision of a physician:

• Give respiratory therapy care and life support
• Assess patients to find out what is appropriate methods of therapies
• Set up/monitor equipment
• Monitor patients' responses treatments
• Perform pulmonary function testing and help patients with breathing techniques
• Monitor and troubleshoot life support systems

Career Opportunities
