The Medical Careers Institute is another nursing school in Virginia, located in Newport News, which provides programs in nursing, practical nursing, and registered nursing. The practical nursing program offers a diploma based curriculum that prepares students to test for state licensure and pursue employment in nursing homes, hospitals, medical centers, and public schools. The registered nursing program offers an Associate degree and the nursing program offers a Bachelor degree or BSN.
