Diploma in Practical Nursing

Colorado Technical University's diploma in Practical Nursing (PN) program is designed to give you the necessary skills to pursue a career in nursing. You will gain skills in basic patient care techniques, IV therapy as well as learning to help clients with daily living and wellness needs. In addition, the study of disease pathologies is provided with this program. Graduates will be able to pursue careers in areas such as acute and long-term care as well as in community settings.

The Missouri State Board of Nursing has granted accreditation to the Practical Nursing program at the North Kansas City campus. Students who complete the program successfully may be permitted to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam.

The Practical Nursing diploma features the following CTU Academic Certificate built into the program:

CTU nursing graduates can obtain the appropriate business and organizational planning skills and opportunities necessary to effectively develop, implement and evaluate new strategies for patient care and staffing, and to set examples for lifelong achievement, caring and respectful relationships, and leadership behaviors which are able to provide the tools needed to recognize, understand the nature of, and plan for such changes.

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

The Associate's Degree in Nursing Program at Colorado Technical University is approved by the Colorado Board of Nursing. There are an increasing number of career openings available in healthcare fields available to CTU graduates. Students learn what they need to, in order to practice in contemporary health care environments.
