Nursing Program Description

The Goodwin College Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program is made up of clinical practice and class work in a variety of healthcare facilities, which can provide nursing graduates with the knowledge to function efficiently in the modern healthcare industry. This ADN program allows for personal growth through courses in liberal arts and science. These general education courses are designed to compliment the nursing courses.

General education courses from the biological, social and behavioral sciences and the humanities complement courses in the theory and practice of nursing. This course of study introduces the student to the fundamental practices of nursing care while promoting the use of judgment in that practice and encouraging the highest development of personal ethics, skills, and growth as a caregiver. The Associate Degree program requires 71 total program credits for completion.
