LPN Programs in Alabama
LPN programs in Alabama offer one-year certificate programs to students interested in becoming a licensed practical nurse. LPNs perform basic medical care for patients of all ages. They work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Some of their duties include administering medication, taking vital signs, collecting samples, performing basic laboratory tests, and supervising nursing assistants. LPN’s are required to take the national certification test called the NCLEX-PN. The occupation is expected to grow by 21% through 2018. The median 50% of LPNs make an annual salary of $34,000-$47,000. LPN programs require students to meet application requirements before applying for program admittance.
