LPN programs prepare students through rigorous one-year training programs that lead to certification. All LPN program graduates are required to take the NCLEX-PN exam, administered by National Council of State Boards of Nursing. LPN job openings are expected to increase by 21% through 2018 based upon the latest data released by the United States Department of Labor. The median 50% of licensed practical nurses earn an annual wage of $34,000-$47,000. Earnings fluctuate greatly based upon geographic location. Students should expect favorable job search conditions upon graduation.
