LPN Programs in Kentucky

LPN programs in Kentucky prepare students for a career as a licensed practical nurse through their one-year certificate training programs. LPN programs only admit students who meet or exceed the application requirements such as courses in cell biology, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and mathematics. Other requirements include letters of recommendation, supplemental test scores, and overall grade point average. Students should include an extra year of school into their timeline in order to complete prerequisite classes. Once in the program students spend a lot of time in the learning lab practicing LPN procedures. They also must complete clinical hours by working in a medical facility under the tutelage of a medical staff member.
