LPN Programs in New Jersey

Before you qualify to work as a nurse, you must first complete a diploma or associate’s degree from one of the accredited LPN programs in New Jersey. Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) are also sometimes licensed vocational nurses (LVNs). They work with doctors and registered nurses to monitor patients, assess their condition, and provide needed care. Coursework in this field includes aspects of health science, medicine, and communication. Class requirements include subjects like medical ethics, legal aspects of the medical professions, microbiology, medical terminology, nutrition, clinical nursing, pediatric nursing, elder care, and leadership.
