Nursing Programs in Kansas
Nursing programs in Kansas prepare students with the adequate training needed to become a licensed RN. Schools offer two-year, four-year and master’s degree programs in nursing. The competition for admission to any of the nursing programs is highly competitive. As nursing is a popular major, space in the program is limited so schools only take the highest ranked students. Admission is based on such criteria as grade point average, successful completion of the prerequisite courses, tests and exams, and applicant interviews. In some schools, work experience also plays a role in admittance. Admitted students can expect several hours a day in the laboratory and hands-on experience in medical facilities.
