Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing program will give students the thorough nursing education required, so that they can graduate and take the NCLEX exam for Utah State Licensure, and start working as an entry or intermediate level Registered Nurse (RN) right away.
Through lecture, lab work, simulated clinicals, and clinical experience, students will learn nursing fundamentals, medical surgical nursing, assessment, pediatrics, obstetrics, maternal, acute care, community nursing, mental heath, and oncology, as well as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, nutrition, chemistry, microbiology, and pathophysiology; and our graduates are employed at Hospitals, Long Term Care Facilities, Home Health Agencies, and Free Standing Health Care Clinics. Through this program, students are prepared to think critically, analyze facts and concepts, synthesize information, and articulate concepts and information verbally and in writing.
