Licensed Vocational Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing

For Vocational Nurses wishing to obtain a BSN degree, there is a special sequence available in the Bachelors of Science in Nursing program. This program is designed to help practical nurses, who wish to advance to professional nursing, by providing them with the education in biological, physical and social sciences which they require. The course of study for this program is based on a strong foundation of biological, physical, and social sciences, which all assist in building superior technical nursing skills. The social, cultural and intellectual aspects of the professional nurse are enhanced and developed through the inclusion of liberal arts elements. Critical thinking, advanced clinical skills, and role transition are the focus of the program's content. Students who graduate from this program will be able to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
