Day and Evening Classes
By attending OIP&T, it is possible that a student can derive great benefits by choosing to attend day and/or evening classes, enabling him to work in his current job and at the same time, continue his education, which leads him to a more profitable career.
Prepare for Success
You will receive the training and skills needed to enter the new career of your chosen profession. Career focused programs offered by the institute enable you to acquire the career based training and job knowledge wherein you can get the required marketable skills. Several programs of the institute also feature externships that enable you to gain the hands-on experience that you require for the entry-level employment in professions like medical office management, medical assisting, and pharmacy technician.
You can prepare for exciting careers by completing programs in health care, criminal justice, graphic design and photography at Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology. Externships are offered in some of the programs which enable you to gain practical experience and working knowledge in your selected areas. The institute's aim is to prepare the a student with the education and techniques that he requires to excel in the job market of today.
A Convenient Location in Dayton
When you attend Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology, you are just three miles south of Dayton and within a short distance of I-75. This will make it easier to balance your personal life, education, and job responsibilities.
An active and progressive community is what Dayton is best known for. It is possible for you to find diversity in educational and cultural resources that include an excellent philharmonic orchestra, two art centers, and several community theater groups. Special concerts and national tour company productions are hosted by Memorial Hall and Victoria Theater. You will notice that shops, restaurants, parks, and museums are all nearby. In addition, the amenities of cities like Columbus, Cincinnati and Indianapolis are all a short drive away.
Your ability to succeed outside of the school is a priority for Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology. You can get assistance in planning your career and assessing your skills with guidance from our Career Services. Acquire the necessary skills to write effective cover letters and resumes and improve your interviewing skills in order to make a positive first impression with possible employers. You will receive assistance in locating job openings in classified ads and on the Internet.
Ongoing Career Services to All Eligible Graduates
Even after you are employed, you may contact the College for assistance in preparing updated resumes and to use other resources in the Career Services department. After graduation you will continue to receive support from Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology.
Part-Time Jobs
Many students have a part-time job to assist in paying for their degree. The Career Services department will do whatever it can to assist you in your job search if you are seeking part-time employment while taking classes.
Having your academic credentials will be to your advantage in getting hired and in doing good work in the field you've chosen. At Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology, you can receive an excellent career education while learning skills for the workplace. The institute does understand that a student's college education is an important investment for his future; hence the institute will assist the student in exploring the financial aid which may be available to him if he qualifies.
Financial Aid for College
It is suggested that you research your eligibility for receiving state and federally-funded financial aid before enrolling at OIP&T. Our Financial Aid Office is there to assist you with the application and any other information so you have a better understanding of your options. You do not have to pay back any grants and scholarships. While loans will eventually need to be paid back, they have very low interest rates and payments are for several years.
