Psychology schools in Alabama offer psychology courses in preparation for the bachelor’s degree. Most Alabama schools offer four year degree programs in psychology. Very few schools offer associate’s or two year degrees in this field but most offer the four year degree program. Students who are good at critical thinking, reading, analyzing data and content, writing, and expressing thoughts are excellent candidates for a psychology degree program. Major courses offered in psychology include abnormal psych, general psych, social psych, cognitive psychology, learning, neuroscience, personality and perception, statistical methods, and research methods. Most students who graduate with a bachelor’s degree continue their education to obtain a master’s degree in graduate school.
