South Texas Vocational Technical Institute

South Texas Vocational Technical Institute has student-supportive campuses in Weslaco, Corpus Christi, McAllen, and Brownsville, which have state of the art facilities that are similar to actual working conditions and good career training in hands on, classroom participation. Students can get assistance in obtaining the money for their career education through STVT’s various plans. The staff at STVT is well-trained and prepared to aid students in meeting their financial needs as well as determining eligibility for financial assistance.

Individual meetings are granted to students seeking financial aid to determine which arrangement can best meet their needs for financing and also will meet the school requirements. Should a student encounter a financial problem at any time either prior to or during the time of their training, they should immediately contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance. STVT is staffed with professionals that are well trained to determine who is qualified for financial assistance and help students with financial needs.

Financial Assistance Program

STVT has many federal financial assistance programs available to its students as an accredited institution. The purpose of these plans is to help financially challenged students cover the costs of their academic studies.

A number of state, local, and private programs are available as well. To find out whether your school qualifies for these plans, ask your Financial Aid office.

Admissions

To be admitted as a student to STVT you are required to have an accredited high school diploma or the equivalent.

Accreditations, Approvals and Affiliations

The Texas Workforce Commission Proprietary Schools Section approves and regulates STVT and the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education accredits STVT.

Massage Therapy Schools

STVT provides its students with education and career training in the fields of Health Care, Business, Computers, Legal and Massage Therapy.

The Professional Massage Therapy Program trains its students to perform and succeed in a variety of therapeutic environments. The program satisfies the standards established by the state and national certification. It offers a complete training to the student in art and science of massage therapy, and it focuses on clinical methods as well as the complex techniques.

Our intensive training includes a solid foundation in Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Pathology. We teach the art and science of Swedish Massage and successful business mastery. We also feature training in myofascial release, trigger point therapy, special populations, adjunctive training in reflexology, aromatherapy, acupressure, sports massage and pre-natal massage.
