TESST College of Technology
At TESST College of Technology, they started offering electronics instruction in 1957. Back then, they were called TESST Technology Institute. Hyattsville, Maryland is where the campus is located. TESST further increased its reach in Baltimore in December of 1992 when it acquired the Arundel Institute of Technology. The Baltimore and Hyattsville campuses moved to new, high-tech facilities in Towson and Beltsville, MD in 1999.
In 1999, TESST gained the RETS Technical Training Center, and has been offering classes there in Maryland since 1956. The TESST Technology Institute was granted approval for an associate of science degree in network information systems, computer, and telecommunications technology in June of 2001. From that point, the facilities were referred to as TESST College of Technology.
Quest Education Corporation, a subsidiary of Kaplan, Inc, obtained the College in May 2002.
Quest changed its name to Kaplan Higher Education Corporation in December 2002. Just a little less than a mile from campus, the school expanded with the addition of a 6,800 square foot facility located at 3922 Vero Road, built in March 2004. Kaplan, Inc. is committed to retaining the excellence in academics TESST is renowned for.
