Vatterott College

It was 1969 when Vatterott College first opened its doors to students seeking the training they needed to meet their career goals.

Thirty-four years later, in 2003, Vatterott Education Centers Inc. was established as the parent company of Vatterott College, the Vatterott Education Center located in Dallas, Tx. and L'Ecole Culinaire along with The Court Reporting Institutes. All of these institutions stay with the Vatterott tradition of providing high quality education and all continue to grow by offering more and more programs and starting new locations.

The degree programs offered at Vatterott campuses include disciplines in fields such as Business, Medicine, the Trades, Court Reporting, and the Culinary Arts. All programs are designed to promote a better life for our graduates through career skills and industry-relevant curriculum.

Vatterott has a variety of programs that will suit your needs, whether you wish to become a veterinarian, become an IT professional, work in business operations, or the field of fashion merchandising.

The following is a list of award levels that can be achieved from specific Vatterott facilities. Keep in mind, though, that all campuses don't offer every program.

    Massage Therapy Schools

    Vatterott College has made career oriented students successful through their quality education for more than 35 years. In 2003, Vatterott Education Centers Inc. became the parent company of the following educational institutions: Vatterott College, Vatterott Education Center of Dallas, L’École Culinaire and The Court Reporting Institutes. The Vatterott tradition of quality education inspires these institutions to excel by offering additional diploma and degree programs while creating new sites.

    Business, Medical, Technical, Trades, Court Reporting and Culinary are some of the program fields at Vatterott campuses. Constructed in the spirit of a Vatterott education, all courses of study are carefully designed to provide practical work experience so that students will be well qualified for job searches and to increase their income potential and quality of life.

    Vatterott College’s Massage Therapy program makes it possible for students to become licensed professionals in massage therapy. After finishing this program, students will have all the education and training necessary to pass the State Board Examination.

    In addition to introducing them to the basic techniques of massaging and related skills, the Massage Therapy program prepares students for passing the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. This program begins by introducing students to the basics of physiology and anatomy and moves on to teaching soft tissue manipulations and complementary therapies. In the final segment of the program, students spend half of the time learning and practicing techniques in massage therapy.

    Veterinary Technician: Associate Degree

    Whenever you go to a pet store, do you spend a lot of time with the animals? Do you love being with adorable cats, dogs and other animals? When you think about animals living in distress that need help, does your heart break? You have what it takes to become a Vet Tech if you answered affirmatively to all these questions. Take Vatterott College’s Veterinary Technician program and this career will be in your path.

    You will receive a broad overview of the field of veterinary medicine while learning the basics of animal care. You will get education in chemistry and equations that are involved with this career. The anatomy and physiology of domestic animals is a topic that will be covered. Education in this program will include:

    • Bandaging and healing wounds.
    • Take and develop x-rays and use other veterinary instruments.
    • Prepare and assist with surgeries on animals.
    • Feed, clean, and spend time with exotic animals.
    • Correctly identify parasites and give the appropriate vaccination.
    • Learn to identify diseases that are infectious and non-infectious.

    The last part of the program consists of a 10-week externship, where you will gain valuable real-world work experience in an animal care setting. You will put the skills you learned to use and apply your passion for helping animals. Doing this may assist you in becoming successful in your Veterinary Technician career. Your career could begin with employment at an animal hospital, shelter, or vet clinic.

    Diploma - Dental Assistant

    A diploma from this program at Vatterott College can help you achieve your goal of becoming an important member of a private dental office or a dental clinic. The basics of dental assisting form the foundation of the program. Oral structures, diet therapy and disease transmissions are some of the areas that are covered. Then the fundamentals of chairside assistance will be mastered. You will learn to properly handle dental equipment and tools, and to do patient procedures as well as to sterilize and disinfect.

    Skills in dental radiography, such as film processing, interpretation, and analysis will also be acquired by you. The program is wrapped up with some training in office procedures. Some of the skills you will attain include dealing with emergencies, scheduling appointments, and handling patient files and inventories. A 10 week intern program will be the perfect place to utilize all of the information and skills you have learned. You will have confidence to begin your new career after the valuable education you receive.
