Competition to get into a veterinary technician program is fierce. In the United States, most programs can only hold 20 to 30 students each year, and each usually has more applicants than space in their program. If you plan to apply to a vet tech program there are some tips you should keep in mind. Such as:

  • Applying early. Most colleges and universities have an application deadline which you must meet in order to have your application considered. 
  • Complete the required prerequisites. You should have certain classes completed prior to entering the program. Biology, English, Psychology, and Speech are just a few.
