M.S. Program in Nursing

B.S.N. Track:
For Registered Nurses new to the program who possess a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Academic Education:
Walden M.S. Graduates -- The Nursing program graduates have the knowledge and skills to be leaders in the profession, and contribute to positive social change in their communities and throughout the world. The particular needs of nurse educators, a growing field, are taken into consideration under the Education specialization. Nurses provide the needed training in staff development, patient/family, schools, occupational and community environments.
Leadership and Management:
Students who enter the program with a bachelor’s degree in nursing complete the following core curriculum and then progress on to the courses in one of the M.S. programs in nursing specializations.
Nursing Informatics:
You will learn how to use technology in order to improve the quality of patient care. This particular specialization successfully combines nursing science with computer and information science. The coursework is geared towards important aspects such as information systems, database concepts and effective project management. You will gain the ability to use your new knowledge immediately with exciting fieldwork experiences.

For Registered Nurses in possession of a hospital certification, ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing), or bachelor's degree (not BSN)
