WCU

Coed and non-sectarian, West Coast University is a private, proprietary school. The University's goal is to provide a modern, relevant learning experience for students and to allow adult learners to hone their critical thinking skills and succeed personally and professionally.

The West Coast University has been in California for a century. For over one century, West Coast University has been giving an education and providing training for mature students to gain employment and contribute something.

WCU came into existence in 1909 as an ophthalmology school and has grown over the last one hundred years by adding new programs and improving existing ones. It was also among the first schools to grant bachelor's degrees for working adults in the 1950's. The reorganization of the school in May 1997 gave rise to new leaders.

At WCU, the emphasis is on being in the forefront of health care instruction provided by top-notch staff. Students will be challenged by the exciting programs offered by WCU, with excellent preparation for positions in health care, where they will fit right in with the community of dedicated workers.

An education that is focused can be found at West Coast University. The most direct path for you to a degree is provided by the accelerated nursing program, in other words. Their practical, demanding approach towards health care learning imparts to you the critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and interpersonal and leadership skills needed to afford compassionate care in the medical universe of today.

The nursing faculty consists of the most prominent clinical specialists, health care professionals, and nursing scholars from a multitude of specialties with close ties to a number of clinical facilities. An important factor in your success is the low student-to-faculty ratio, with Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) certified nursing faculty.
