Three programs are available at the School of Healthcare: A Medical Assisting degree and diploma, and a Medical Insurance Coding and Building degree. With a School of Healthcare degree, you will gain the necessary skills to assist people through the complex healthcare system.

At Westwood College the emphasis is on an approach to education that is career focused. Classes are hands-on and teach methods, processes and technologies that are relevant to the industry. Institutional Purposes

In order to fulfill its commitments, the college works hard to meet the following criteria which include collaboration with the industry advisory committees, graduate placement contacts, and faculty to develop and maintain industry oriented programs that are framed to augment the employment potential of the graduate, teaching through teamwork, and strengthening of techniques boosting the learning process on a long term basis.

Opportunities are available in the feild of applied learning which when amalgamated with theory do help students to become successful in thier selected career path. Whenever required the college uses computers and other technologies for allowing graduates to use their knowledge and skills in the workplace. A "real world" experience is offered to interns and externs as needed.

It is necessary to include a general education curriculum that permits a student to obtain analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and communication techniques required for a prolonged success in his career.

A faculty should be chosen having academic qualifications, teaching experience, and real life industry related experience. Faculty members undergo continuing performance reviews and have ample resources for augmenting their own professional knowledge in order to ensure the highest quality in instruction and training methods.
